This tour takes you up the Whanganui River to the famous “Drop Scene” area. The name originates from the musical hall days of the 1900’s. This area consists of three 3 caves.

If you want to do your own road transport or are riding the Mountains to Sea Cycle trail we can pick you up at the Mangapurua (Bridge to Nowhere) Landing and take you and your bike down to Pipiriki for the next stage of the trail.

Traveller with Little Time Canoe Tour

Your driver/guide will jet boat you upriver for 13 kms stopping along the way sharing with you our local history and stories of the river and will give you instructions and a demonstration on how to operate your canoe before you paddle yourself/s back to Pipiriki, exploring and enjoying the native scenery, deep river gorges and some of the more exciting rapids along the way.
The Overnighter - 2 Day Jet Boat and Canoe Tour

You'll embark on a guided adventure starting with a scenic jet boat ride to the historic Bridge to Nowhere on Day 1, where you'll enjoy lunch and hear fascinating stories, before spending the afternoon canoeing 12kms to Tieke Kainga/Hut; Day 2 takes you on a 20km paddle back to Pipiriki, navigating the stunning Whanganui River with its tranquil waters and exciting rapids.
